1350
Liberty ship, SS Jeremiah O'Brien

  • move
Russell Eames shares his rendition of Trumpeter's 1/350th scale version of the famous SS Jeremiah O'Brien Liberty Ship and has put together a fine static display. Despite a little extra work involved with the build when it cam to blending the upper and lower hull sections, Russell says the build was quite fun. He added some extra detail to this ship by using some Gold Medal Models photo etch and Colourcoats from WEM.

Special thanks to Russell for sharing his completed Liberty ship, SS Jeremiah O'Brien. Stop by and his blog here on Model Shipwrights and you can enjoy seeing some of his progress from building this ship.

About Russell Eames (RussellE)

It would seem that my interest in modeling resides in 1/350 ships, 1/72 WW2 aircraft, 1/72 Star Wars and the odd 1/24th Airfix aircraft!

Very nice build! I like the "clean" look of this ship....they don't always have to be rust buckets...to be appreciated! Cheers, Joe

Haven't seen this before. Looks like it has just slipped out of the builder's yard. Great build Russell. regards Michael

Thank you guys! :-) Went with the museum style (as per most of my builds) as it suits my way of displaying the finished builds on chocks... Hence the nice 'clean' look. Have been a bit tied up with real life, hence the delay on getting the pics out to MSW, but here they are at last-glad you guys enjoyed seeing them! Russ :-)
