I agree, the profile view is the one that stands out.
Background colour option, can be changed if desired.

Cheers, D

Edit. I just went for a look at the Campaign page to see who is enlisted and there is already a ribbon loaded in. We might just keep my one on the barrel for the next Flying Boats and Seaplanes Campaign.

I have a 1/32nd Arado float plane (prototype, single float) but it is already started and well along so I assume that would be a no-no???

(I do however have complete progress photos of the build from the start.)

Nice kit,but unfortunately No-No

I believe the campaign listed there dates from 2017 but I could be mistaken. If that indeed is the one then I would say I like the current proposed campaign ribbon better.

Hi guys.

I had a spare few minutes so I had a play around with a couple of ribbon ideas. To me the PBY Catalina was one of the most iconic and easily recognisable WW2 flying boats, so I put a profile and a front view into ribbon format.

Happy to help if you have other ideas.

Cheers, D

I agree the PBY was probably the most iconic flying boat in history and the side view is the most immediately identifiable image.

Hi All,

Alex, looks like we need one or two more (depending on if you count Robert Jan!). I think we can get this off the water!

Though, instead of flying boats, it could be called something that indicates pretty much anything that floats and flies. For what it's worth.

I bet there's one or two more that have a floating bird in the stash! Sign on, it'll be fun!

LOL, I rushed home last night to rescue my Seamew form the shelf of doom. Once you folks got me the instructions, I knew I was in business. I pull the sealed bag and take a quick look at the decals. Wait, wha... instead of a set of star and bar with red surround markings, there's a bunch of British roundels. Huh. Seems that this kit was so popular, that they had to release at least two different boxings, 72003 and 72048. Of course I've got 72003 and the on-line instructions are for 72048. The plastic seems the same, but my kit has a simplified resin set consisting of a single piece cockpit, engine front, gunner's station and a single molding for the landing gear if you're doing a ground version. It also has a brass sheet that the 72048 doesn't appear to have.

I'm assuming based on the simplicity of the US roundels that I can still build the blue-gray over gray version off of the USS Denver.
