History

Edwards Air Force Base in California is the mecca for test pilots in the USAF. Every hot aircraft ever produced was wrung out there to determine how it may be safely flown and find out exactly what it can do. The USAF Test Centre is based at Edwards, along with several other USAF testing establishments and NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Centre.

First impressions

This sheet is crammed with badges of four different types in various sizes

Badges

The USAF test centre used several different badge designss over the years, and 4 varieties are offered here in sizes from 7 to 17.5 mm tall. These badges may be used for any aircraft which operated from Edwards but their exact use is not specified. The modeller is expected to be familiar with the differing styles of badge to ensure that the correct one is chosen for the desired subject.
